About Hero Squad: Hero Squad is a raiding guild made up of working adults whose primary goal is downing PVE content. We raid 8 hours a week, but strive to clear as much content as physically possible in that time. Our main raid times are Tuesday and Thursday from 8pm to midnight EST. Who we're looking for: First and foremost, we are looking for players that we get along with. During our raids we work hard, but at the same time try to stay relaxed and fun. We strive to keep our raids fast moving, and enjoyable for all of our members. We do not tolerate arguing or denigrating comments between any of our members and have a zero-tolerance policy towards any racist, homophobic or sexist type comments from our guild members. About our raids: We take our raiding as seriously as you would a recreational sports team that you play after work or class. Since we only raid 8 hours a week we expect as near 100% attendance as possible from our raiders. It is not the end of the world if you don't make a raid, but we need to know at least a day in advance when you will be unable to make a raid. Many of us have busy lives, and schedule our wow time around those lives. If you cannot take wow that seriously, this is probably not the place for you. To many of us, we find fun through success, and consequently, expect 100% focus during boss fights. We look for players who understand their class and play it well, while also being able to keep track of changes to the class and adapting as needed. On our main raid nights we also work very hard to make sure that everyone raids. Instead of having our extra members sitting outside the instance on 'standby' on raid nights, two of our officers work to swap players in and out of the raid group. Each raider sits out one or two bosses per lockout. This normally equates to everyone getting a 15-20 minute break somewhere along the night, and helps to keep the raid moving along swiftly. We track who needs loot, so players will not sit out a boss they need a drop from. We use a zero-sum DKP loot system for 25-man raiding. 10-man raids use an open roll for loot.
